About me

Ever since I first moved to Edinburgh as a bright-eyed young languages graduate, words have been the golden thread running through my career.

In every role I had, my happy place was putting words on a page – or making them work harder. Blogs, blurbs, intranet articles, press releases, social posts… I’d put my hand up to write them. I loved turning complex information into something everyone could understand and engage with.

And I was always the go-to person to “make this sound better” or “spot any howlers”.

It got me thinking, “What if I could just do that kind of work all the time?” And in 2022, I finally took the plunge.

When I’m not working with words, I’m usually trying to stay on top of kids’ activities, homework and playdates, as well as answering my two daughters’ questions about everything under the sun. And once all that’s done, I’ll unwind with running (slowly!), yoga, cooking or a good book.
